While you can go to a specific verse or search after installing the search index, it's hard to sort through text when it's all jumbled up. Pocket Sword is a decent Bible app,

but it falls short in a number of ways that other apps with similar functions do not. The formatting issue makes it hard to read, the download requirements are frustrating and time consuming, and browsing is tough. While you can save bookmarks, look up words or verses in the dictionary, and the single built-in commentary is helpful, the app could use some work.
